I got my bike from that shop. That’s kinda neat.

This give me an idea for beginner drifters. Go to the junkyard and pickup a few space savers that will fit your car. proceed to drift at considerably lower speeds, on cheap tires.

Drift locations and competitions could create a whole new class just for under sized tires.

Yes the “smart car tire class”

I’ve always disliked this video. “Hey! It’ll hold up a car!” Sure, until you make a real turn and introduce some side load.

I’ve thought this would be hilarious fun on my M3. Biggest issue is clearing the brakes.

Couldn’t you just use some spacers? That would mean spending money on this silliness.

I’m no engineer, but That could put some unwanted stress on the suspension, axis shift et all.

Yes I agree with that notion, but I like the concept.

The problem is all the “drifters” I know would start pounding their chests and doing various threat displays if you suggested “lower speeds.”
“I’m just saying, man- it’ll help with your core skills if you start slow and get the fundamentals down.”
“YOU WANNA GO? I’LL FUCKIN’ FIGHT YOU RIGHT HERE!”

Yeah, sure, “fun,” but if I can ever afford an FRS/BRZ/GT86 I’m still going to dump those rock-hard eco-tires it comes with first thing for some fat, sticky summer tires.
